Youth ETC provides a full continuum of services
for at-risk youth and families. These services include
community, educational, prevention and outpatient services.
FAMILY CENTERED SERVICES
Project Next Step
Project Next Step is designed to provide family and community based
services as a preferred alternative to residential care.
Project Next Step will provide family based interventions for
children or adolescents that are at high risk for level one placement,
or transitioning from level one treatment. The program will provide
intensive in home and community services based on individual
and family needs may include:
- In-home Behavior Management and conflict resolution
- Overnight respite
- Individual, family strength based skill development
- Mentoring/tutoring
- Multi family Substance Abuse Program
- Multi family Support Group
- Psychiatric services
- Case Management
- Structured Recreational activities
- Individual, group, family therapies.
Project Next Step is committed to partnering
with families, Comprehensive Service Providers, Stakeholders, and
the community to provide quality intervention in the least restrictive,
family centered way possible. The target population is males between
the ages 8-17.
Criteria for enrollment includes the following:
- The child is enrolled at Value Options
- The child has an active Child and Family Team or the potential
to develop one.
- The child is at high risk for Level I placement, or is currently
in a Level I placement.
- The child/family is accepting of this level of care
Project Next Step has a predetermined
capacity and enrollments are limited.

COMMUNITY SERVICES
Prevention
Prevention Specialists provide education, training,
and counseling to schools, parents and communities using research-based
curriculum
Second Step. Our program builds resiliency skills such as empathy,
anger management, and impulse control, reducing the negative antisocial
behaviors that lead to aggression, violence and delinquency among
youth. Prevention services are currently offered in Glendale.
OUTPATIENT SERVICES
General Outpatient
Provides traditional, individual, group, and family therapy for
youth and their families who are experiencing a range of emotional,
behavioral and substance abuse problems. In addition, Youth ETC
has become a leading agency in the development and implementation
of the Arizona Treatment Model for Children. We provide a comprehensive
array of innovative programs to include: Child and Family Teams;
Respite Care; and In-Home Support.
Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program
Designed specifically for youth (Co-ed ages 13-17) who have serious substance abuse problems
12 Week Cirriculum - Services are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30pm - 6:30pm
(Mandatory Family Involvement: Wed 5:30-6:30pm)
Meetings are held at the Youth ETC Administrative Building
located at 4414 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85015 (19th Avenue/North of Indian School)
Treatment Services Include:
Lecture, guest speakers, community intergration, life skills development, recovery and exploring culturally-relevant
alternatives supporting a substance-free lifestyle.
Admission to the program is open ended and can occur on the first session of each week.
